Steven Napper is known as a colorist in both landscape and portraiture, his masterful control of pastels has gained him international recognition. With his art being featured in numerous art publications and recognition on both CBS and PBS, his work is highly sought after. Signature membership in the prestigious Pastel Society of America since 1981, Portrait Society of America and most recently the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters has only enhanced the recognition of his artistic skills.
Over 30 years teaching in both public and private educational programs across this country has given Steven a wealth of experience to draw from. He has gained recognition for his workshops, and is noted for his patience in working with all levels of students, from the beginner to the professional. Strong emphasis is placed on having FUN, knowledge will be gained in pastel techniques, composition and point of interest.
