In Memoriam,

At one time voted one of the top 100 landscape painters in the United States by the editors of “Artist’s Magazine”, Ann Templeton’s style and enthusiasm won her awards all over the country. She was an Internationally recognized artist and a major force in the field of oil painting. She had been published in American Artist Magazine, the Texas Artists’ Magazine, “Focus – Santa Fe”, and had produced the Art Instructional Videos: “Color Theory”, “All about the Landscape”, and “Design and Competition”.

Known for her brilliant oil and pastel landscapes, Ann looked for good designs in nature. An oil/pastel-conceptual impressionist, she described her paintings as “symbolic expressions”. Her talent, experience, and personal commitment to excellence was evidenced by her invitations to many juried competitions and shows including the Allied Artists of America, Knickerbocker USA, Carlsbad Museum in New Mexico, the New Mexico State Capitol “Governors Gallery Exhibition”, Southwest Impressions, Knickerbocker New York, the Northwest Pastel Society, and many others around the country.

During her 34 years of painting, Ann had been honored with memberships in such prestigious organizations as the Pastel Society of America, Knickerbocker Society, Oil Painters of America, Allied Artists of America, and Women in the Arts, among others.

We at, Explore Amazing Places, as well as everyone Anne touched through her life, laughter, and artistic talent, consider our lives and experiences enriched by the time we were able to spend with her. She will be missed.   Click Here To View Ann Templeton’s Website
